Accel Spark Plug Wires

A spark plug wire's task is no joke. Imagine carrying 50,000 volts multiple times a second under a 200-degree temperature. It is responsible for harnessing tens of thousands of volts and delivering this juice to the spark plugs every time, without fail. A poor-quality spark plug wire can waste your engine's energy by driving the electricity somewhere else.

Pre-ignition Catalytic Converter

Sunday, August 15, 2010

Being environment-friendly has never been so easy.

You confidently show off your car’s speed and expect it to turn heads and leave people in awe. But you wonder why the people you pass by are turning their heads to the opposite direction and covering their noses. Then, you figure it’s the black smoke that your car emits as you hit the gas pedal. Don’t worry; there is a solution for every problem. Yours is to mend your car’s inefficient exhaust system by installing an Ansa catalytic converter.

Catalytic converters make your car more environment-friendly by converting the harmful by-products of its engine’s internal combustion into less damaging emissions before these are released into the atmosphere. It is the job of the Ansa catalytic converter to reduce the toxicity level of the carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides or NOx produced during combustion and to turn them into safer carbon dioxide, water vapor, and nitrogen gas, respectively. Most modern vehicles are equipped with three-way catalytic converters designed to minimize harmful substances in three stages: reduction, oxidization, and control system. In the first stage, platinum and rhodium reduce NOx emissions. Meanwhile, the oxidization process minimizes unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide. Lastly, a control system, usually including an oxygen sensor, controls and monitors exhaust stream for the fuel injection system.

Because it is constantly exposed to intense pressure, temperature, and harmful emissions, your Ansa catalytic converter is also subject to damage–even if it is one of the most highly-technological pre-ignition catalytic converters today. When the time comes that you need a new one, just visit our 24-hours online store, and browse through our wide selection of top-quality auto products. Surely, you’ll find the right parts for your car. Everything we offer come directly from the major manufacturers, so you are ensured of a smooth and safe drive every time.

The Audi brand has built its whole existence on creating highly performing vehicles with highly performing auto parts. Indeed, in its years in the industry, Audi has immersed itself in producing cutting edge components that would merge into premium quality driving units. Some of these parts are installed on the Audi vehicles mainly for functionality. Some other Audi car parts are installed only to provide that much-sought flair and stylishness. However, there are also car parts that are gifted enough to serve both of these purposes. One such device is the Audi Tail Light.

The Audi Tail Light is an essential component of the vehicle's automotive lighting system, as it maintains that necessary line of communication between drivers on the road. Mounted on the left and right rear fender of the Audi vehicle, the key functions of the Audi Tail Lights is to inform the driver of a subsequent vehicle relative to the foregoing vehicle's presence, direction, and course of action.

AUDI

Audi Tail Lights provide illumination especially at low visibility conditions that signifies the presence of the vehicle, thereby warning other drivers and avoiding vehicular accidents. Moreover, the Audi Tail Lights importantly serve as signaling devices for the easy and safe flow of traffic. Said function, in turn, is made possible through the specific individual light units being housed by the tail light system. There is the signal lights or the turn lights that warn other motorists if the preceding vehicle is turning left or right. A reverse light is also included in the tail light assembly as it flickers when the driver puts the vehicle in the reverse shift in order to back up. At hand as well is the park light, a device that is interchangeably merged with the 'brake light because it is geared to automatically open when the driver hits on the brake. All these specific lights comprising of the Audi Tail Lights aim to inform and warn other vehicles of its own vehicle's next traffic movement, consequently giving other drivers the time to maneuver in complementary to the preceding car's signaled course of action. In
such a setup through the use of the Audi Tail Lights, rear end collisions and accidents are avoided.

Besides providing the necessary security measures, Audi Tail Lights also radiate a strong visual appeal for the vehicle, what with its
colors, stylized forms, and glimmery attributes. Oval, rectangular, and circular tail light shape varieties offer the consumers an easy way in customizing vehicles. In terms of light kinds, there is the Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) as a refreshing replacement of the traditional incandescent bulbs. Most popular in the custom tail light section is the 'Euro' look, which makes use of clear lenses and
colored light housings. Among the Euro tail light design variations are the carbon fiber tail lamps, chrome lights, clear lamps, and smoked or black lights. On the other hand, lenses of the tail lights can either be in red, amber or in clear form depending on the state laws being implemented with regards to tail light specifications.

Each Audi Tail Light is built to last for a very long while. But as said auto part is also one of the most exposed parts of the car, it is normally susceptible to damages caused by car collisions, exposure to
the elements, and the general wear-and-tear situation. As defects on the tail lights can hinder the total performance of the vehicle and the security of its occupants, regular inspection for these parts should always be in order. And if the need calls for it, replacements should never be delayed.

GMC Fenders as Multi-Purpose Auto Parts

Thursday, April 9, 2009

Complete the look of your car with GMC fender. Grab these auto parts now!

Some auto parts are installed to perform more than one function. This is true for a vehicle’s body. The body does more than project an image of luxury and style. It also acts as protection and foundation for various auto parts. GMC is aware of this and in turn, produces vehicles with a complete and efficient body having superior exterior features. One component of the body that contributes to its multiple functions is the fender. In GMC vehicles, the GMC fender is a part that not only completes the body’s overall design but also ensures the capability of motorists to improve both the appearance and performance of their cars.

From the outside fenders make a great impact on the look and style of the vehicle. Together with the body, fenders help define the appearance of the car. This is one reason why rear fenders are integrated onto the car’s main body in newer vehicles. Fenders are located at the side portions of a vehicle. They are part of a metal assembly on either side of the vehicle over and around the front and rear wheels. The fender on the front contours from the front doors and runs forward to the bumper and upward to the hood. Meanwhile, a rear fender runs from the rear bumper up to the trunk lid.

Fenders are also intended to house the wheels and tires of a vehicle. They protect other components of the body from rust and sludge formation. Fenders do this by catching the mud and road debris spewed out by a wheel. The fender also contributes in the performance of the vehicle by having extra space in the wheel housing in case motorists may want to get bigger tires and wheels. The GMC fender, for example, gives a spacious housing for GMC parts upgrade, whether for customization or increased performance.

Cool off with efficient GMC radiators available here with free shipping

Engines work in an arduous environment that creates friction and heat, in order to avoid the engines from overheating, radiators would be needed. GMC knows the importance of these auto parts in their vehicles. That is why they equip their vehicles with high quality GMC radiators for better engine performance. Since GMC is aimed at producing high performing and reliable vehicles, durable GMC parts are required for smoother operation.

GMC radiators are just some of the essential equipments in vehicles. The radiator is basically responsible for cooling the engine and nearby components by distributing cooling agents like a coolant. This coolant is a liquid, usually a mixture of water with ethylene glycol or antifreeze and a little corrosion inhibitor. This fluid then moves in a closed system from the radiator to the engine, where it conducts heat away from the engine parts and carries the heat primarily to the radiator. GMC radiators are strategically placed behind a vehicle's grille in order to benefit from the cool air coming in. The radiator not only cools the engine but also takes the heat away from the engine.

Radiators are tasked to at least take one-third of the heat produced in the combustion process, in order to avoid overheating. Motorists should know that for each vehicle type and capacity, there is a corresponding radiator. It is important that the radiator suits the needs of the engine for an efficient vehicle performance. For more effective cooling process, some engines have an additional oil cooler. This is a separate small radiator to cool the motor oil. Today, some cars that come with automatic transmissions have extra connections to the radiator, which is responsible to let the transmission fluid transfer its heat to the coolant in the radiator. Meanwhile, Turbo charged or supercharged engines may be equipped with an intercooler. As one of the highly used component in a vehicle, regular maintenance of the radiator is recommended. It is advised that vehicles more than five years old have their radiators check at least once every two years.

GMC truck bumpers protect the passengers

Tuesday, February 17, 2009

Vehicles are prone to many hazards on the road which may damage internal or external auto parts. To keep auto parts from those hazards, various safety features are installed in a vehicle. GMC is one car manufacturer that makes sure its vehicles are protected by installing high quality GMC parts on its cars. This is why GMC is known for their SUVs and pickup trucks that boast performance. One way GMC trucks keep their auto parts safe is through GMC truck bumpers.

GMC truck bumpers are helpful for they act as protection for the hood and engine in minor, low-speed collisions. Bumpers act as buffers, absorbing most of the damage of collisions before it reaches the hood. They can be installed in either the front or rear of a vehicle. Since their location makes them the first component to be in contact during a collision, they are able to prevent extensive damage to the vehicle. They are specifically made to suit a certain type of vehicle to improve its performance and safety. GMC truck bumpers, for example, are higher compared to passenger cars. Higher bumpers provide better clearance for driving in steep paths. Higher bumpers also prove to be helpful when motorists drive over large rocks and other objects during off-road operations.

Bumpers not only affect the performance of a vehicle, they also contribute to the external appeal of the vehicle. Some car enthusiasts opt for customized bumpers for a more stylish look. In the past, styling and customization was not really included in a bumper’s function. Early bumpers were just strap or flat iron incorporated in a vehicle. Later on chromed bumpers became the fad, especially in the 1960s. By the early 1970s, self repairing bumpers were introduced and after a while they became mandatory. This led to modern bumpers addressing the need for auto part safety and car customization.

DIY: Cold Air Intake

Sunday, February 1, 2009

Vehicle performance is everything for some car owners and they’d give anything to achieve that. But of course, being practical when it comes to vehicles is also one way to achieve the desired performance. It doesn’t always have to be expensive as one can always get himself a cold air intake or better yet, make one with a DIY (Do-It-Yorself) cold air intake. This device is one of the inexpensive ways of boosting up performance.

Cold Air Intake

But before looking into details on how to make one, one has to be knowledgeable about the nature of the device. As mentioned, it boosts vehicle performance. It does so by taking in a colder or denser air from outside the engine bay (not from under the hood which is what the stock air intakes do). It also absorbs great quantities of cold air as its main goal is to supply more oxygen for a more efficient combustion.

Now that the functions of cold air intakes are established, below are the steps on how to make a DIY cold air intake. These would be helpful for those who want to try to unleash the mechanic in them.

First, one has to go to the store and buy the needed tools which are cone filter with an inlet diameter of about 3mm, a rubber hose that’s about 55mm, a flexible heavy truck 3mm exhaust tubing, 4-3.5mm clamps, and a high temperature paint (which is optional). The tools that one would just need are hack saw, sockets and some wrenches.

1. First thing to do is to remove the stock factory air intake installed.
2. Cut the stock air intake hose, get a heat gun and heat the rubber hose. While doing so, work the tubing into it. Get the clamp and put it over the rubber hose’s edge.
3. After that, take it and bend it the way it is needed to be bent. Be sure to leave as much space as possible between the exhaust manifold and the tubing (at least 1-2-inches). Then, remove the bracket that holds the factory intake in place. Remove the bolts that hold it and keep them somewhere safe. This will provide room to work on. Make sure that the gap between the road and the tubing is about 14-inches. Also note the length of the filter – if it is longer, make the pipe smaller. Measure the ground and the tubing using a ruler then cut it across.
4. Then start working on the air filter on to the tubing. Use the heat gun to warm the rubber part of the filter with then continue sliding it on the tubing. After that, place the clamp on the edge of the air filter’s rubber part and secure it down.
5. Support the tubing with the bracket that was holding the air intake before and bend it so that it becomes parallel to the tubing. One could also heat it so that it would be easier to bend it with a plier.
6. To secure the cold air intake in place more, reinstall the bracket and get the 2 clamps over it and the tubing. Then jack the front end of the car up, then put the clamp through the hole in the frame and around the tubing. Another reminder: don’t forget to securely tighten the clamp on the hose of the air intake on the throttle body. Then, check that all clamps are tightened down.
7. Now, it’s all set! Take the car for a drive and feel the difference that the cold air intake provides.

Despite rising fuel costs, household bills and falling house prices, the British public are still enjoying purchasing and modifying their cars, with 153,420 new cars registered in July of 2008.

Motorists who modify their vehicles are said to be mostly 16-24 year olds who still live with their parents and are therefore not affected by rising prices and the tightening of credit to the same extent as those who own their own home. Popular modification gadgets at the moment, particularly for those with newer cars, include integrated satellite navigation systems that feature iPod playback. According to transportation groups, 60% of car owners carried out at least one vehicle modification in 2008, up from 57% in 2006.

Many expected the credit crunch to hit car dealerships hard, particularly with the cost of fuel currently being so high. Rather surprisingly, however, this has not been the case. Customers have been downsizing from four wheel drives and fuel burners to more efficient, eco friendly cars. Unfortunately, while there have been many enquiries from consumers regarding hybrid cars, very few car showrooms stock them, due to most petrol stations in the UK not being able to provide the necessary fuel. Business was brisk with fleet managers for the Honda Hybrid however, which was not only more fuel efficient but also benefitted from a substantial road fund tax discount.

The top end of the car market is also looking healthy despite the current economic instability. Sales of prestige and performance cars like the Bentley Continental and the £143,000 Ferrari 430 are up 2% in some areas while the Maserati Gran Turismo has seen its sales go up by 15%. The budget used car market remains active and is likely to continue forward, contradicting several reports that the used car market was suffering badly.

However, Price may well become an issue if economic conditions tighten, and if they do then the nearly new market is likely to see it first. Prices in the nearly new sector tend to be more volatile as volumes are lower and prices can be affected by activity in the new car market, where specific manufacturer activity, such as 0% finance, cash-back deals or no-cost specification upgrades can affect user demand for used cars.

Of course, people will always need to drive and will therefore always be on the look out for cars that take their fancy. While the credit crunch has limited the amount consumers can borrow from many financial institutions, car credit is still readily available and is continuing to assist many who are feeling the strain of the credit crunch.

Continue having that nasty Mazda 3 looks and performance. Maintain your Mazda 3 with our wide selection of Mazda 3 parts.

In an effort to redefine the compact car category, Mazda created the Mazda 3 series, which offers performance, sophistication, safety, and reliability—all qualities that one would probably expect from a much more expensive European sport sedan. Hence, Mazda 3 delivers a driving experience far beyond the benefits projected by its price.

Mazda3

Mazda 3, known domestically in Japan as Axela, traces its roots to the year 2004 when Mazda Motor Corporation introduced the model, replacing the 323 (Familia in Japan). It received a rousing reception from virtually all markets. It was judged the “People's Choice” car in a number of countries. In fact, Mazda 3 was Canada's second best-selling car in 2006. In 2005, almost 340,000 exportable units of Mazda 3 were produced by the two largest Mazda facilities in Japan, one in Hiroshima and one in Hofu. An excellent set of Mazda 3 parts brings the Axela to the pedestal of the automotive industry. Included in the long list are the Mazda 3 performance parts, led by the top-of-the-range 2.0-liter petrol engine, controlled by Mazda’s Sequential Valve Timing (S-VT), a six-speed manual transmission and an electronic throttle – all of which provide superb acceleration, excellent fuel economy and minimal engine noise. Another Mazda 3 part that is important in ensuring that drivers and passengers get to enjoy a comfortable ride is the Cruise Controller which minimizes driver fatigue and discomfort on long journeys (standard on Sport).

Mazda 3 comes with a range of active safety features to help motorists cope with the unexpected. This includes the Mazda Advanced Impact Distribution and Absorption System (MAIDAS), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Traction Control System (TCS) (standard on TS2 and Sport models). MAIDAS is designed to efficiently disperse impact energy in the event of a collision. The entire range of features helps protect all occupants from possible accidents on the road. Built around a unique triple H structure, it disperses impact energy across high rigidity body and resists deformation in all conceivable collision areas. Other Mazda 3 parts that make the Japanese compact car an instant looker are the clear-lens halogen headlamps, the newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels, angular fog lamps, redesigned wrap-around skirts, eye-catching front and rear bumpers, chrome front mesh grille, wide tail lamps, and the seatbelt reminder. Aside from these Mazda 3 parts, the car packs along ergonomic features found throughout the passenger cabin, with carefully selected materials that strike out a balance between good texture and form. All things considered, Mazda has, indeed, been able to make its mark in the global automotive scene with its Mazda 3.

Enhance Your Catalytic Converter

Some Tips to Enhance Your Catalytic Converter

While the Catalytic Converter does a supreme job in keeping the car emissions clean, its performance can still be improved a lot---through your knowledge and help.

Among the noted liabilities of a catalytic converter is that it only works at a fairly high temperature. When the car starts cold, the catalytic converter will have a hard time in trying to reduce the pollution in the exhaust. A solution for this is to move the catalytic converter closer to the engine. This means that hotter exhaust gases will be able to reach the catalytic converter, making it heat up faster, although this may also reduce the life of the catalytic converter because it is being exposed to extremely high temperatures. You should know that most car makers have positioned their catalytic converters under the front passenger seat, making it far enough from the engine to keep the temperature down to levels that will not harm it.

Another bright idea for the enhancement of the catalytic converter is to preheat it. Preheating the catalytic converter is a convenient way to reduce emissions, and in this case, the use of electric resistance heaters is highly suggested. Unfortunately, the 12-volt electrical systems on most cars do not provide enough energy or power to heat the catalytic converter fast enough. Most people do not have the patience to wait several minutes for the catalytic converter to heat up before starting their car. Hybrid cars that have big, high-voltage battery packs can provide enough power to heat up the catalytic converter very quickly, which is probably why their catalytic converters are often in premium performance.

Hence, it is not enough for you to take good care of your catalytic converter, but it is vital that you know where it is located as well, and how fast does it work in which temperature.

The Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)

When the year 2006 came, the RL made history by being the first Acura vehicle to be able to offer an optional Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS). This feature is considered to be a revolutionary safety technology, which monitors the potential rear-end collisions. It makes use of audio, visual and tactile signals in order to alert drivers of the risk of collision. It assists in brake operation as well as the tension in front seatbelts. In so doing, it helps reduce impact on occupants and vehicle damage, in such circumstances where the collision become unavoidable. Unlike other pre-collision systems, the CMBS automatically applies the brakes to mitigate the severity of a collision.

braking system

The CMBS system monitors the distance between the RL and the car directly in front of it up to a distance of 300 feet and the rate of closure between the two vehicles with the use of a millimeter-wave radar unit located inside the front grille. In case the closing rate increases to a point where a collision is likely to occur, the system uses visual, and olfactory warnings to set off the driver to take preventative action. Basing on the driver's response, the system will then determine if the possibility of a collision has decreased to an acceptable level. If so, the CMBS system will disengage. However, if response of the driver does not sufficiently reduce the risk of a collision, the system will issue a secondary warning. This consists of audible, visual and tactile elements as well as light braking, to alert the driver to take action.

And when the closing rate increases so much that a collision already becomes unavoidable, the CMBS can initiate hard braking to reduce the vehicle's speed. This also strengthens the tension on the driver's and front passenger's seatbelts, which help reduce the gravity of the crash.

World standard Audi 9000 parts make Audi a byword

The Audi 9000 is considered by many as a landmark vehicle in car engineering. Its introduction in 1995 as a concept car made people take a second look at Audi models. With the car's distinctive, bow front aluminum body and undefined bumpers, the Audi 9000 started a shift toward the automotive design method called angular styling. It is believed that the sleek bodywork of the Audi 9000 captured the attention of the auto industry, and this interest has been sustained by the Audi 9000 parts specs fitted on the vehicle.

One of the greater lights of the Audi 9000 parts is its transversely mounted engine. This particular Audi 9000 part was first available with a 1.8 L turbocharged, inline, four-cylinder, 20-valve engine. For the first two years of production, both front-wheel drive and quattro models of the Audi 9000 parts featured a 132 kW version of the engine. In 2001, a more powerful quattro Audi 9000 parts model was released. Equipped with a 165 kW engine, the first-generation of the Audi 9000 has parts that share the same basic design of the original but features a larger turbocharger, an additional intercooler on the driver's side, forged connecting rods, a dual exhaust, and a few other internals designed to accommodate the increase in turbo boost from roughly 10 psi peak to 15. Over the years, Audi has developed parts for the 9000 with considerable improvements, including a lightened and power-boosted Audi 9000 parts for its “quattro-Sport" model. Capable of producing up to 176 kW and a top speed of 250 kph, the quattro-Sport is supported by Audi 9000 parts designed to exhibit understeer during drive conditions. Understeer is a characteristic determined by Audi 9000 suspension parts design, such as the effect of the all-wheel drive system.

Understeer is inherently a safer handling characteristic, as it is easier for novice and casual drivers to predict and control the vehicle. In addition, a number of modifications on Audi 9000 parts included the inclusion of Audi 9000 parts like the rear-wing spoilers and improved understeer suspension settings while the original four cylinder engine range was complemented with a 184 kW, 3.2-L VR6 in early 2003, which comes with the quattro all-wheel drive system. In October of 2004 a new dual-clutch gearbox and stiffer suspension were included in the Audi 9000 parts system.

BMW Doors Keeps Everything Intact

Cars branded with BMW engineering are celebrated for their innate sophisticated styles, superior technological attributes, and impressive safety features. To date, BMW has released numerous lines of vehicles, each with its own mark of uniqueness, but all benefiting from BMW's impeccable gift of fusing sporty tones with delicately sculpted curves. It is without a doubt that such designs were profusely researched and worked on by BMW automakers. However, all these creative concepts would all be put to waste without something as simple as BMW Doors.

BMW Doors are one of those auto parts that are often overlooked due to its unassuming presence on the vehicle. Owners of a BMW would tend to focus more on the seemingly gregarious BMW parts such as the lighting systems, customized wheels, and state-of-the-art interiors, among others. BMW Doors, on the other hand, belong to the category of simple parts that hardly needs any embellishments, thus not much attention is provided. However, BMW Doors in poor condition would belie everything that the BMW brand stands for, namely its styled flair and security. Even worse would be a lack of BMW Doors that would turn the situation into downright dangerous, not to mention laughable.

Indeed, BMW Doors are as essential as any other automotive parts of the vehicle. Besides the complementing visual design it provides to the BMW model, the BMW Doors like any other door for that matter, should also be considered as security features. As the vehicle is meant to be in motion, it needs to have a barrier of some kind that would hold the vehicular contents within the car premise. And by vehicular contents, these include both car accessories and human passengers. Furthermore, BMW Doors assist in providing privacy to the car occupants, as well as ensuring a clear air circulation within the confines of the car. BMW Doors also offers that much-needed benefit of muting road and traffic noise with its thermally insulated configuration. Relative to its structure, BMW doors are usually made up of two panels, namely the inner and outer panel. The inner door panel is the portion from which the door's strength is derived. Said panel normally consists of various parts and mechanisms responsible for power windows and automatic door locks. The outer door panel, on the other hand, is considered as the door's 'skin' and is usually comprised of varying metal elements. What's more, BMW doors are meticulously tested for that perfect fit relative to the BMW body, as well as for extreme durability in catering to its relentless opening and closing movements.

With BMW's trademark for reliable and long-lasting BMW parts, the only plausible reason that could lead to the BMW doors succumbing to an early demise is through a severe vehicular collision. Simple dents and scrapes can still be restored back into its pristine conditions by an experienced mechanic, but BMW doors that suffered a severe pummeling accident is another story. With regards to awfully damaged BMW doors that are already experiencing troubles in fitting against the door frames, the safest option is to have such damaged auto parts replaced, as continuous use of such damaged doors could prove to be hazardous and unsafe to all motorists on the road.

BMW Spoilers

Improve aerodynamics with the meticulously-made BMW Spoilers. Get the BMW Spoilers now and enjoy a smoother ride.

The inner components that a BMW vehicle are equipped with are not the only auto parts needed for accelerating. Engines may supply the chemical energy for other parts to work, but this cannot take all the hard work. Aside from the motors under the hood, the exterior components of the vehicle also help it to speed up. The German automaker BMW carefully designs and manufactures each model so that the exterior parts or body kits blend well and achieve the right aerodynamics. The well-crafted BMW Spoilers are just some of the auto parts that aid vehicles to fight off air interference.

The BMW Spoilers are perched right on top of trunks of passenger cars. Spoilers, along with the other body kit parts, help the vehicle get the right aerodynamics. Air could get trapped in some exterior parts while a vehicle is in motion. Once the air is trapped in the body of the four-wheel machine, the vehicle will more likely have difficulty in accelerating or speeding up. Such occurrence, however, can be reduced because of the well-crafted BMW Spoilers. In addition, these auto parts do not only help achieve the right air movement, but these parts are also utilized to lessen rear turbulence and to achieve stability. With these efficient BMW Parts, automobiles are now anchored properly, which means that there is better road surface and tires traction. Once the right traction has been achieved, the vehicle can now easily turn, brake, and accelerate.

Although the BMW Spoilers are most often mounted at the rear part of the vehicle, these could also be geared at the front. Manufactured underneath the bumper, the front spoiler redirects the air flow to the under body instead of to the tires.

Like the other body kit parts, such as fenders, bumpers, and side skirts, spoilers also contribute to the overall beauty of the automobile. These parts can enhance the appearance of the vehicle and make it look more muscular and tough. The BMW Spoilers are really remarkable finds because these are after all utilized for two reasons, which are for aerodynamics and aesthetic purposes.

Nobody would appreciate a car that leaks off thick, black smoke in its wake, even if it is from a quality brand such as a Subaru model. Therefore, owners should monitor the working condition of their Subaru Catalytic converter in order to maintain that delightfully clean and clear emission.

As a backgrounder, the catalytic converter was introduced during the mid-1970s as a means to reduce your car’s toxic pollutants, which in turn aims to improve society’s air pollution problem. However, due to the relentless environmental deterioration that has occurred as years passed, this useful alternative has ingrained itself into a vehicular necessity. An environmental law has in fact been passed that requires the inclusion of a catalytic converter on every vehicle.

So how does your Subaru catalytic converter actually function? As its main goal is to convert harmful fumes into nontoxic emissions, it would only be natural that it is incorporated in the exhaust system assembly. And with its strategic positioning just ahead of the muffler, your Subaru catalytic converter is given a much easier time to process, dissect, and eliminate the harmful fumes. Its initial step is to sort through the smoke and separate the oxygen element from the carbon monoxide with the aid of a reduction catalyst. And then, through the use of a metallic catalyst and a honeycomb structure, it eliminates stubborn organic carbons that should have been earlier burned off by the engine. The result is a much cleaner and detoxified exhaust fumes that is then released to the environment.

As your Subaru catalytic converter is quite valuable, every means should be made in order to ensure its proper, working condition. There are times that the formed exhaust may be too heavy or too polluted in its consistency, thus regular cleaning and check-ups are required. If however, your Subaru catalytic converter has already been damaged beyond repair by its numerous fights for the environment, then don’t hesitate to make a replacement. A malfunctioning catalytic converter is no use for your car and would only add more damage to your whole exhaust assembly.

BMW Bumpers Shield BMW Auto Parts

In its over 90 years in the business, the BMW brand has well established itself as one of the producers of the best quality cars there is in the automotive industry. It is one brand who already started out as exceptional, but was able to evolve into even something infinitely better. This success can be identified with the company's continuous and painstaking research and enhancements with regards to automotive technology. Indeed, all auto parts of a BMW car are engineered to add outstanding value and sophisticated quality to the overall unit. And one such part is the BMW Bumper.

Mounted on both the front and rear portions of the vehicle, bumpers act as shields during low-speed collisions and accidents. However, it cannot be actually considered as a safety feature for drivers and passengers, as the focus of its shielding capabilities is geared more towards the physical elements of the car. To be more specific, what bumpers really aim to protect are the vehicle's vital mechanisms in the forms of the fuel, exhaust, and cooling units. Moreover, a good bumper system also safeguards the exterior automotive parts such as the trunk, hood, fender, headlights, parking lights, and taillights.

In its early days, BMW bumpers made use of heavy-duty steel as its standard core material due to its tough tolerance against those worrisome car crashes and collisions. Such a primary component worked for quite a while too, but seeing how the steel adds a considerable amount of weight on the vehicle made BMW automakers go back to their design table. What resulted thereafter is a unique brand of BMW bumpers that is more lightweight and more susceptible to vehicular damage. Said bumpers generally consist of a particular rubberized cover with a reinforcement bar made of plastic and a dash of steel, aluminum, and fiberglass composite. The main revolutionary material in these BMW bumpers is aptly named as Continuous Fibre Reinforced Thermo-Plastic or CFRTP. With the CFRTP component, the BMW bumpers incorporate an increase in energy absorption for collision shocks, at the same time that a reduction in the cars' overall weight is achieved. In fact, in its comprehensive testing procedures, this CFRTP-infused BMW bumper excellently boasted of a 60% improved crash performance. Furthermore, as the CFRTP has the luxury of being effortlessly molded and thermoplastically welded, BMW can just as easily call for its mass production and customization that would in turn serve its BMW consumers more efficiently. To date, BMW bumpers are now available in the market in a range of forms and designs that would tailor fit the varied features and configurations of BMW cars.

Relatively, as BMW bumpers are only meant to outlast low-impact collisions, anything greater than that could relatively lead to its damage and downfall. And so, when such unfortunate accidents take place, the most sensible solution is to have this BMW device checked for damages and replace immediately if the case should call for it. A rundown bumper would hardly be able to perform its function of protecting its ward of BMW parts. As a result, these BMW auto parts would be left to fend on their own protection-incompetent selves, and could then equate to thousands of dollars worth of possible repairs. Thus, a BMW bumper in its proper form is quite essential, as it is friendly to the consumer's pocket, as well as a general aid to every car owner's peace of mind.

BMW Bumper Covers are styling BMW Parts

Through the years, the course of car enhancements and redesigns has developed into a continuously evolving science, as well as a much-lauded art. Besides the apparent changes in the technical and mechanical aspect of the machine, variations are also being creatively made in reference to the aesthetic appeal of the vehicle. Indeed, it has been a growing industry trend for car enthusiasts to look for ways in redefining and customizing the vehicles in each of their own distinctive preference. As it goes, the BMW brand is one of those quick and clever car brands to have caught on early regarding such a trend. And wishing to appease its market's inclination, BMW readily produced a range of BMW car accessories and ornamented auto parts that would suit its clientele.

To date, there are countless ways to accessorize and restyle the BMW vehicle. It can be achieved through installing customized BMW parts such as BMW replacement wheels with cool rim designs, aftermarket headlights with built-in angle eyes and projectors, and BMW custom fit grilles with an array of materials and patterns, among others. A number of consumers, on the other hand, prefer the easier way of car styling, which is to simply attach car accessories on existing BMW auto parts for that distinctive look. One such popular car add-on is the BMW bumper cover.

BMW Bumper Covers are basically styling accessories that fit over the original front and rear bumpers of the vehicle. In particular cases, BMW front bumper covers can be equipped with a built-in air dam and feature-worthy fog lights. Some of these front covers even feature a small billet grille that would go nicely with the larger grille on the front part of the vehicle. With regards to the material, BMW bumper covers are usually made of thermosetting plastic or thermoplastic. And upon the proper blend using this unique component, the BMW bumper covers are then molded and prepared to be sold in either its pre-painted version or in a paint-ready, matte finish. With both these finishes, car owners are given the freedom to have the bumper covers painted in the color that would best suit their tastes and preferences. However, between these two textures of pre-painted and paint-ready forms, automakers are recommending for the purchase of the latter version, as the pre-painted bumper covers may have the tendency to unluckily acquire nicks and scrapes during shipment. As an added feature, in terms of its installation complexity meter, BMW made sure that the procedure would be relatively easy for its market. BMW bumper covers are designed to be assembled against the car with the use of hidden screws, double-sided tapes, and some light drilling methods. With a few fixes and fastenings, the BMW bumper cover is ready to go and flaunt itself charmingly.

Correspondingly, more than the function of being mere accessories, BMW bumper covers also assist in the overall protection of the vehicle. As bumpers serve to safeguard the condition of various systems and BMW parts, so do the BMW bumper covers in adding an extra layer of protection to the guarding bumpers. With a BMW bumper cover in place to swathe itself to the bumper, the shock-absorbing quality of the bumper is in turn further strengthened and reinforced. Moreover, nasty dents, scratches, and chips are otherwise avoided with the use of the BMW bumper covers. Indeed, the BMW bumper covers serve a valuable dual purpose of being a protective and decorative device, which in turn enhances the quality and style of the BMW vehicle.

Fusion of Function and Style

Sportiness, Progressiveness, Sophistication.

These are the three central values that the Audi brand incorporates in all its engineered vehicles. This brand positioning of Audi had actually taken root in the year 2003 when the company decided to redefine its values in order to distinguish itself more clearly from competitors. As it went, it was quite a successful venture for the company. With Audi's clear image and corresponding luxury products, the brand was able to establish a deeper emotional appeal to its targeted premium market. To date, Audi is well reputed to be a brand that delivers style and technology fused into one neat package. Every auto part and system produced by Audi is guaranteed to be of exceptional quality in order to meet the company's high standards. One such part includes the Audi wheels.

In automotive terms, a wheel can be described as a circular auto part that facilitates motion for the vehicle. For a more definitive mental picture of how said movement is triggered, it is best to observe how the Audi wheels are linked and interrelated to the vehicle's other systems. Mainly, the set of wheels are connected to matching axles through a series of nuts and bolts. These axles, on the other hand, are linked to the transmission system, which is then connected to the engine mechanism. As the simplified process goes, the engine generates power and transmits this to the transmission, which in turn distributes said power among the wheels in order to trigger motion. The wheels are then geared to control the vehicle to the particular direction and speed that the driver chooses.

Few auto parts are given the remarkable dual traits of being both a valuable functional device and a styling accessory, but the Audi wheels seem to pull off both benefits quite nicely. While the wheels started in the industry as auto parts solely working for function, time has evolved said devices into a means to further improve the aesthetic value of the vehicle. And being a car brand banking on high-end class and luxury, Audi maximized on this potential by producing wheels of varying sizes, materials, designs, and finishes. With regards to the component, the most commonly used in the market today is that of the steel type. Steel wheels are the most popular choice due to its top durability and high scratch-resistant characteristic. Next in line for such a category are those of the aluminum kind because of its lightweight feature, excellent heat conducting trait, and customization ability through casting procedures. Other Audi wheels that are currently in the market can also be produced using materials of alloy, silver alloy, billet aluminum, chrome, and magnesium. Moreover, in terms of wheel finishes, the Audi car owner is given the option to choose from clear-coated wheels, painted ones, or polished wheels. Wheel diameters also have the tendency to vary, as wider wheels generally translate to better traction and handling. Indeed, wheels have been so designed in so many ways that there is sure a kind that would suit every owner's taste and inclination. And in the rare case that the owner's preference is not available in Audi's present wheel offerings, customized wheels have also been made available in the market.

Considering the utmost importance of the Audi wheels in setting off the vehicle's primary purpose, it is only rational that utmost care and attention is given to such auto parts. Besides regular inspection for possible damages, another preventive measure is in frequently washing the cooled-down wheels with lukewarm water, mild soap, and soft cloths. Indeed, by making this a habit, the Audi wheels are sure to retain their pristine conditions for a good long while.
